When I was studying for the CPA exams, I used to do this all the time:

I’d come home from work, open my laptop,
and tell myself I was going to study for 3–4 hours.

And technically… I did.

But if I’m being honest, most of it wasn’t real studying.

I’d watch lectures while zoning out.
Re-read notes without actually thinking.
Take way too long on things that didn’t matter.

At the end of the night, I’d feel like I “put in the time”…

but nothing really stuck.

That was the most frustrating part.

It felt like I was doing everything right,
but not actually making progress.

What finally changed things for me was simplifying everything.

Shorter, more focused sessions.
Clear direction on what to do each day.
Actually engaging with the material instead of just consuming it.

That’s when things started clicking.

That’s also the idea behind what I’ve been building for Smarter CPAs.

It’s not built around long, overwhelming study sessions.

It’s built for people who are busy
and need to make real progress in limited time.

I’m letting a small group try it out early before I fully launch it.

If you’re planning to take AUD soon and want to check it out,
just reply to this email and I’ll send you the details.
