Hey everyone,
One thing I’ve noticed after talking to a lot of CPA candidates:
Many people are not struggling because they’re lazy or incapable.
They’re struggling because their study process is exhausting.
A lot of candidates are trying to:
watch every lecture
take perfect notes
reread chapters constantly
study 5+ hours every day
And after a few weeks, they burn out.
The CPA exam is a marathon of consistency, not intensity.
For most working professionals, the better strategy is usually:
shorter focused study sessions
more active practice
more repetition
more structure
fewer distractions
realistic expectations
You do not need perfect study days.
You need enough good days repeated consistently over time.
That’s a huge part of the philosophy behind Smarter CPAs:
build a study system that actually fits real life.
Keep showing up.
