Safari or Squirrel?

Make your choice

Are you a lion or a squirrel?

Do you feast or do you snack?

Yes, I am referring to CPA studies.

A lion doesn’t eat every day, but when they do, they FEAST.

A squirrel eats constantly. A nut here, some seeds there.

Different strategies for different creatures. You need to find your strategy.

When you study for the CPA Exam do you want to be the lion? Maybe not studying every single day, but when you do you go 4-6 hours of intense and undisturbed study time.

Or do you want to be the squirrel, spreading your study sessions throughout the day. Getting 20-30 minute sessions in as you can.

Both are effective strategies. But it pays to know which one you are.

If you don’t know which one you are you’re going to be anxious, never knowing when to study and when to relax.

And that is what the CPA Exam comes down to. Knowing what you’re doing. Knowing your game plan. That’s the hard part.

The CPA Exam is not hard because the content is complex. It’s not rocket science. We can figure these things out.

The CPA Exam is hard because it requires you to create a well-thought-out plan. And then put in the effort to execute that plan. That’s what is so difficult.

So before you start studying headless chicken-style, ask yourself, do I want to be the lion or the squirrel?

Good luck studying!

PS: You can do a hybrid approach. It’s just important to know that you’re doing a hybrid approach.

PPS: I am releasing a CPA review course supplement on August 1st . It’s awesome.
