Hey,
Most CPA candidates think their problem is time.
“I just need more hours to study.”
But that’s usually not true.
The real problem is what happens during the time you do have.
A lot of people:
Watch lectures passively
Take too many notes
Avoid practice because it feels harder
And then after 2 hours, they feel like they “studied”…
but nothing really stuck.
If you only have ~2 hours a day (which is most people working full-time), this structure works much better:
30 min → learn (quick video or notes)
60 min → practice (MCQs)
30 min → review mistakes
That middle part — the practice — is everything.
That’s where you actually learn how the exam works.
That’s where things start to click.
You don’t need more time.
You just need your time to be more effective.
Talk soon,
Joey
